Description
‘The design shows a heraldic eagle—head at the top, wings spread and tail feather down— gripping in each talon the rump of a standing horned animal. A plant forms a terminal and dots fill the spaces. The design rests on a decorative band of zig-zag line and dots filling the spaces so created.

This is an Akkadian seal from Central Mesopotamia, c. 2300-2200 B.C. It is a rare type and finely cut. The condition is good.’
