Description |
‘The design, which is put on a base line, shows a
standing hero grappling wit ha horned rearing
quadruped each side, while another hero is
involved behind the animals’ backs. Six shapes
fill spaces in the design.
This comes from North-West Iran and dates to c.
1100-900 B.C. It is a very rare seal and in good
condition. Certain areas of North-West Iran were
producing fine seals in frit at this period.’
