Description |
Typical earthenware albarello jar of a
cylindrical body on a short narrow
base, cylindrical neck ending in a
slightly everted rim, decorated by a
motif of alternating vine leafs in a
vivid blue and copper lustre.
The shape is widely documented and
most commonly used for the storage
of pharmaceutical substances, such
as medicinal herbs.
