Description
Large jar, buff earthenware coated with green glaze. The tall ovoid body rests on a low splayed foot-ring, has a tall slightly waisted neck with a wide bulging collar at its lower part and terminates in a widely opened tall rim which on the top is everted. Probably Syria, late Parthian or early Sasanian period, 3rd century A.D. Ht. 29cm; Top diam. 11cm; Base diam. 9cm. Prof. Geza Fehervari Prof. Geoffrey King - (ADC.124)
